The project

The Connected Tide Clock © is designed as a precision object: the state of the tide read at a glance, with the elegance of a dial and a hand.

This web interface is a demonstrator: it shows how the Connected Tide Clock instrument looks and behaves.

Where the data comes from

The demonstration is built on the predictions of the mathematical models of CNES, the French national space agency. Drawn from forty years of satellite altimetry, these algorithms are a world reference for tide prediction.

For some ports and periods, certain values shown may be simulated for demonstration, testing or interface validation.
